Update your traditional office look with Rockport's Big Bucks collection. Casual enough for jeans and dressy enough for a shirt and tie, these relaxed fit, full-grain leather and nubuck uppers feature a padded tongue and collar, and strobel construction for an easy stride.
My favorite black Red Wings are no longer made, so I had to find something to replace them for work. These seem to be sturdy shoes. I can tell you I had to "add 1/2 of a size" to my old Red Wing size to these to get them to fit, so they must run smaller. I had to send my first pair purchased back and reorder 1/2 size larger. Those shoes fit nice. The insoles are a bit hard feeling to me comparted to my R/W's, but I can throw some padded liners in them. I'm satisfied with these shoes as "less than $100" type shoes. The one negative I can mention is I don't know WHY Rockports always do this to me, but it always feels like there is a "hump" just it the front of the ball of my foot at the base of my toes on the floor of the shoe. After a couple weeks I may have "adjusted" to it or maybe I've pressed it down a bit, and I can deal with it I think. Bottom line this shoe is one of the only "understated and sensible looking" oxford work shoes you can find on the market and I'm happy with it.1. They arrived late. But that is NOT Amazon's fault. USPS, which Amazon seems to be using mostly for my deliveries is the culprit. Supposed to have arrived on a Friday...arrived on Monday. Been happening a lot these last several months. The shoe itself: 1. They WERE NOT in a shoe box??? Normally a Rockport shoe arrives in a Rockport shoe box which then is packed into a shipping box. These were just in a shipping box??? 2. They look nice and seem to be a decent quality item. 3. They are slightly 'Too Big'. I have a narrow foot. Complicated by my shoe size of 13. 13N can be a problem. The label says they are a 13N but I have to synch up the laces ALL THE WAY causing the leather to 'bunch'. The width of the shoe seems correct, it's just the toe box is too large? But I have been having this problem with the last several pairs of shoes I have purchased. Rockports 'used' to fit my narrow foot very well. They and some other brands seem to have changed their construction which now makes the 'narrow' shoe not as well fitting as it used to be? Ordering a 'slim' I don't think would have helped in the 'bunching'; in fact it would have had a narrower width which would not have been acceptable. All in all the shoe looks and feels like a decent product but the quality of fit seems to have suffered a bit. I'll still wear them but will not be happy about the 'bunching' that can be seen. The older I get, the more critical comfortable shoes become. These are lightweight, durable and feature quality leather construction for all-day comfort. I have narrow feet and added support insoles -- these are just what the podiatrist ordered!Perfect fit, comfortable and as described.I have always worn Rockport Shoes for my job. They are the very best shoes out there. You will never be disappointed. Its impossible! FIVE STARS! IF THEY HAD SIX STARS I WOULD SAY SIX STARS! Thanks very much.Comfort for standingTop qualityI've worn Rockports for years and was happy to see them back in stock after going out of business a couple years back. These appear to have the same quality but only time will tell. The fit is the same as my previous pairs. Delivery was prompt with good packaging and I would buy from this supplier again.Rockport is a shoe very comfortable with a good quality. Wearing shoes for almost 12 hours every days, Rockport seems an excellent solution. Not as good quality as I expected from this great label.Super. Really comfy! Size as expectedNo shoe size posted on shoes. Too small.I have bought men's 9.5W for decades and they always fit; not these. Is the shoe size wrong? Who knows?Should I buy their size 10? If I got the wrong size, though, I'd need a size 9.5W.I'm not going to bother guessing and rebuying then then returning a second pair of shoes.Shoes seem really comfortable but Rockwell need to get their selling act together.I've bought shoes online before (Northern running shoes) and they, 9.5W, fit like a glove. These shoes fit like a tight, painful torture device.I bought a whole size up from what I always wear, just to be sure. These shoes are still too small. I even tried a rockport sneaker on in a local shop that was my regular size. That fit fine. I started a return process for these but I had to pay the $25 return freight. Disappointing.
