Not sure why is everyone saying you need to size down. I am a solid size 9, ordered size 9 and they fit just right. Less than a thumb of space left to my toe (to accommodate for swelling and hiking/running downhill).Snug at the hill. I finally found Salomon shoes with a high enough heel cup that is snug. They used to make hiking shoes like that but now all of the new models have a shallow heel cup. I had to turn to their trail running shoes.Indian Ink color is a super dark navy.I took half a star off because my feet felt this strange numbness when I wore the shoes for the first time. Kind of like you have if your foot falls asleep. Not sure if my circulation was cut off somewhere. It got better when I loosened the laces. I'd have to figure out the optimal tightness.Another half a star off because the quality doesn't seem as high as my old Salomon shoes. It seems like their quality keeps going down over the years.After I've started to wear them, I noticed they're little slippery on the wet surface, esp, when it's mossy. Then I noticed there's a hole after three months. I wore these every other day. I have another pair of trail running shoes from a different brand that I've started to wear at the same time. Those one are still fine.-------------contacted Salomon. was able to file the warranty claim. they gave me credit to shop on their website...Great shoe for handling trail mud or wet days but lighter than my hikers. Love the lace mechanism and the fit is super comfy. I normally wear an 8 1/2 in my Nike flex trainers but based on reviews I went down a half size and the 8 was plenty big- almost could have done a 7 1/2 but the roominess of the 8 allows for thicker socks when needed. I have narrow heels and the ball of my foot was a little wider but this shoe accommodated both without slipping or pinching and was really comfortable from day one.I previously owned the all black pair and LOVED the fit and support. True to size. So when I decided to order these beautifully colored Salomon's, I assumed I would order my 9.5. First sight out the box I thought they were a mens shoe. They look huge because they do run bigger than the other pair. Eager not to disrupt my daily workout routine, I tighten them as far as I could and wore a thicker footie. Love this brand.LOOOOVE! Definitely order a half to whole size down. I typically wear a 9/9.5 and the 8.5 fits perfectly. My only reason for not giving 5 stars is they aren't waterproof. I threw some nikwax on and took them down a very wet trail today and was comfy/dry. Problem solved!I’ve wanted a pair of Salomon shoes for a few years. Found these for $66 and took a chance. Going to spray silicon on them for added protection. Decent arch support. I ordered a half size down due to reviews and ha ing tried on other styles in stores before and sometimes they are narrow. They’re still a tad long, but width is snug and I have a little room in the end for thicker socks. Quality shoe and I have no doubt they will be great on the trail. Will update if not!This is my 2nd pair of Solomon's for hiking and training. I love the stability of the shoe. the colors are always an eye catcher. They do run big. I wear size 8 bought 7's and they fit perfect. I have a closet full other big brand shoes but none fit the way my Solomon's do so I am getting rid of all other "next best shoe" from Nike, Puma, Adidas, scketchers, Kswiss. Der Schuh ist passgenau, bei einer Alltagsschuhgröße von 37 passt der Laufschuh Gr. 38 in Länge und Breite perfekt, wer beim Trail dicke Socken mag, sollte nochmals +0,5 größer bestellen.
