I work in the airline industry and needed boots with a tough toe. These boots are great. Keep my feet warm and protected from dropping heavy things on my feetI'm a sous chef and have been on the look out for the best shoes to wear in the kitchen. I have tried every shoe from $30 up to $200 and these by far are the best. My chef pants fit perfect over top of them and the tongue of the show is connected to the rest of the boot which is a life savor when you spill something on them, it won't go into your socks. They grip even when there is food stuck in the bottoms as the grooves are deep, grease doesn't stand a chance in making you fall in these. They are easy clean with a hose for the bottom and just a wet rage for the tops. They have amazing support and after being on your feet for 15 hours a day without a break your feet feel phenomenal after taking them off. Only down side is that because they are waterproof they make your feet smell and the boots smell. I have been putting foot powder in them and let them sit overnight with it, clears it right up.I've been wearing these boots for 5 years in the water treatment industry. They are waterproof, electrically rated, thinsulate insulated, composite toe protection. They last me 1 year before having to replace them. The laces are a problem... they come untied very easily, and they never survive a year before replacing with better laces. The level of insulation is good to about 35 degree weather; colder weather, and your toes will be freezing. I use Grabber toe warmers, and I'm fine. I use comfort insoles on top of the original insoles, and I can go 10 hour days on my feet just fine. For $120(2020 price with tax & shipping), these boots are a good choice. So it’s a heavy duty work boot. Expect weight which for me turned out to be a big factor giving it a lower rating. They are built like a tank - I used mine in meat/seafood retail - kept the feet warm and protected. As far as dry - the issued protective aprons we wear hang perfectly over the top of the boot, allowing the water and blood to enter (unless I lace them so tight there is no circulation). And I could get a longer apron but that’s not permitted: too long making it a tripping hazard. If I added Water proof leggings it wouldn’t be an issue. So I’ll hang onto them to cut firewood but get a boot with a much higher top profile. The no slip sole is a huge plus when working in slippery conditions.I bought these assuming they would be good for kitchen work. I was so very wrong.Pros: they are non slip, that part works very well.Cons: within one month they were ripping on multiple seems. They hurt like crazy for about 2 weeks while breaking them in.Within 2 months they were so ripped apart they were unusable. I tried some shoe goo to get them to last a bit longer seeing as I paid over 100 dollars for garbage shoes.TLDR: Do not buy these for any sort of work, they are not worth it, get walmart boots, they will last 4x as long and are still non slip.N/aThese boots are not very comfortable. You may need to order a half size up.good product
