The DYNABLAST shoe is recommended for runners who want a responsive underfoot experience during their run. This running shoe comfortably wraps around the foot like a gentle hug. This design features a lightweight and breathable upper to keep feet cool without forgoing support. Additionally, the shoe's upper is made with recycled materials, while the sockliner is produced with a solution dyeing process that reduces carbon emissions and water usage. Equipped with FLYTEFOAM Blast cushioning in the midsole to generate soft landings, this material is also complemented with underfoot cutouts in the outsole to provide runners with a more responsive toe-off.
These are exclusively running shoes for me. I don't like to use them anywhere else. They don't fit like a casual shoe very easily because of the dimensions. I'm a bit scared of ruining them because of their awesome colors. Of course you can still do that, but it's not flat, so it can get a little tipsy-turvy with someone being used to flat shoes. What I like:- Enough comfort during a whole run.- At times you feel very different on the stride--it's airy and bouncy. The heel drop is a little questionable, but you don't feel like you're taking the strong gaps that the shoe's technical stats would show.- This is good enough for flat roads and sidewalks. That's what my runs are taken on.- The French Blue/Black color is beautiful.- The overall anatomy is good for the price in my opinion. Just watch for fitting and maybe go up half a size to your normal one to compensate for limits.- The shoe is very light. I am talking LIGHT. It's impressive in itself that it holds its structure being so low in weight.- Combined with Dr. Scholl's insoles, this provides very good support. My legs feel good after a month. I never use stock insoles. Sorry guys, they just feel cheap at this price point. What I dislike:- The tongue needs improvement. It feels flimsy and like a bit of a downgrade compared to previous Asics I have used. Sometimes it actually finds itself going back down into the shoe mid-run. That's... annoying to say the least. You can always stop and adjust, but that really can throw someone off their rhythm.- The eyestay doubly needs to improve on these. One of my shoes fits fine, however, since humans are not perfectly symmetrical, whatever you want to call it, my left foot is larger than my right, and this eyestay is too limited in expansion to fit the way I want. It's not terrible, but it could be better.- No wide options. Come on, Asics - seriously??? Not good for accessibility on that end. You're a pretty large brand; you know better than that. I even checked Dynablast 2 on your website, still no wides. W O W. Several other shoes also lack the option.- This shoe seems like it's built for long straights. It suffers on corners--your pace/speed will probably drop when taking them. It's not horrible for me as I am not a premier type of athlete, but this might really annoy those types of people.I give it 4/5 stars at maximum. I find myself agreeing with reviewers on shoes about this one on several points then threw in my perspective.
